AmeriLife and the Valspar Championship are again teaming for a major initiative in the fight against hunger with a food drive for the final round of tournament play on Sunday, March 23– Feeding Families Together: AmeriLife Community Food Drive Benefiting Feeding Tampa Bay. All fans and volunteers are encouraged to bring canned goods and shelf-stable food items to the Copperhead Course where they will be collected and donated to Feeding Tampa Bay.
Fans who donate will have the opportunity to enter to win Delta Air Lines Travel vouchers or a pin flag signed by the winner of the 2025 Valspar Championship!
“AmeriLife continues to be a great partner of the Valspar Championship,” says General Co-Chair Rondé Barber. “This is the third year we have worked with them to benefit Feeding Tampa Bay, and we want to make it the best one yet. Many of us from the Valspar Championship visited Feeding Tampa Bay’s new headquarters building last summer and saw firsthand their amazing operation. We fully endorse their mission.”
“AmeriLife takes immense pride in community partnerships that have spanned more than 50 years across the Tampa Bay region and throughout the U.S.,” said Mike Vietri, Chief Distribution Officer of Wealth for AmeriLife. “We’re thrilled to return to the Valspar Championship yet again alongside our friends at Feeding Tampa Bay to support their work battling hunger and food insecurity in our local communities.”
Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission is to solve food insecurity, a complex issue, often seen hand in hand with housing, transportation, employment, or health troubles. To break the cycle, we need to address the issues creating struggles for our neighbors and create pathways to a better life. Our approach is to craft a one-stop-shop where a neighbor can get a meal, but also access to benefits assistance, basic health services, educational classes, job training, and connections to other nonprofits.
