AmeriLife and the Valspar Championship are again teaming for a major initiative in the fight against hunger with a food drive for the final round of tournament play on Sunday, March 22 – Feeding Families Together: AmeriLife Community Food Initiative Benefiting Feeding Tampa Bay.
We ask you to join us in supporting AmeriLife and Feeding Tampa Bay in a partnership to combat hunger in the Tampa Bay area! Support local families by rounding up when purchasing tournament tickets or by scanning a QR code on signage at the gates. Contributions made on-site will be eligible for a chance to win a signed pin flag by the 2026 Champion.
“AmeriLife continues to be a great partner of the Valspar Championship,” says General Co-Chair Rondé Barber. “This is the fourth year we have worked with them to benefit Feeding Tampa Bay, and we want to make it the best one yet. Many of us from the Valspar Championship visited Feeding Tampa Bay’s new headquarters building recently and saw firsthand their amazing operation. We fully endorse their mission.”
“AmeriLife has deep roots in Tampa Bay, and there’s no better way to honor that history than by showing up for the community we call home,” said Todd Buchanan, president of AmeriLife Wealth. “We’re excited to be back at the Valspar Championship and even more excited about the impact we can make together with Feeding Tampa Bay in the fight against hunger.”
Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission is to solve food insecurity, a complex issue, often seen hand in hand with housing, transportation, employment, or health troubles. To break the cycle, we need to address the issues creating struggles for our neighbors and create pathways to a better life. Our approach is to craft a one-stop-shop where a neighbor can get a meal, but also access to benefits assistance, basic health services, educational classes, job training, and connections to other nonprofits.
