For Immediate Release: October 9, 2014
The 2015 Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities presented by BB&T is back with a larger bonus pool payout and a higher tournament participation threshold.
The program is aimed at grass roots charities who collect pledges between now and March to benefit their organization based on the number of birdies made by the pros in the 2015 Valspar Championship presented by BB&T. In addition, the tournament will now boost those pledges by 15%, up from 10% in the last several years. So a pledge of $100 will net the sponsoring charity $115.
In addition, the tournament will now pay the bonus on the first $1.5 million in charitable pledges, up from $1 million.
“Thanks to the generosity of BB&T, Valspar and our other tournament sponsors, we are actively looking for new charity and community groups to join the program,” says Tournament Director Tracy West. “It is perfect for school and youth groups. We handle all the paperwork and bookkeeping once you get the pledge cards filled out and collected.”
