Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities
Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities is a philanthropic platform that utilizes the excitement around the Valspar Championship to help nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay area raise awareness and funds to support their missions. Through the Birdies program, each approved charity will receive 100% of the amount pledged by donors, as well as a contribution from Copperhead Charities’ Bonus Pool equal to 10% of the participating charity’s fundraising total.
NEW this year, charities will solicit donations of $20 or more to “Guess the Birdies.” Each donor has the opportunity to guess how many birdies will be made by PGA TOUR players during competition rounds of the 2022 Valspar Championship, March 14 – 20, 2022. Based on the total donation amount, the donor will receive a number of guesses. The person coming closest to the actual number will receive a Grand Prize.
Pledges/donations are accepted from anywhere in the world and are tax deductible. The 2021-2022 fundraising campaign is live now and conclude on March 11, 2022.
If you are a charity:
501(c)(3) organizations in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding communities (within 50 miles of Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL) are eligible to participate. Once qualified, approved by Copperhead Charities and enrolled, organizations may solicit pledges. Pledges without charity designation and donor detail will be applied to the Copperhead Charities Bonus Fund benefiting all participating organizations.
If you are a charity donor:
It is rewarding to know that 100% of every pledge collected goes directly to your specified charity. The Valspar Championship and Copperhead Charities cover all administrative costs to make this possible. Plus, Copperhead Charities will pledge to match 10% of that charity’s final total. There is no more impactful way for you to help your favorite organization(s)!
In addition, donors may “Guess the Birdies” for a chance to win a Grand Prize!
